Bloomsday 2020

The Lilac Bloomsday Run is an annual 12-K race held in Spokane Washington on the first Sunday in May. Over a thousand runners participated in the inaugural Bloomsday Run in 1977, and since 1986, the event has included over 40,000 runners. The race was founded by Olympic marathoner Don Kardong, who named the race after James Joyce’s Ulysses.
